The APRM Process in Uganda: A critical evaluation

This report, written by co-authors, Samuel Bamulanzeki Tindifa, a senior lecturer at Makerere University and Babuuzibwa Mukasa Luutu acting vice chancellor at the Marcus Garvey Pan African University tracks Uganda's progress since it acceded to the APRM process in March 2003, its implementation process which commenced in 2005 and the 2008 self assessment report. It interrogates the institutional arrangement governing the APRM process in Uganda, analyses strengthens and weaknesses of the in-country process, and contents of the report, plan of action and follow-up. It also analyses the impact of the process on the promotion of national dialogue on issues indentified in the report and makes recommendations for the country and other countries undertaking the process.
